It all started in 1898, when Dr. Isaac Brumback purchased the land that was to become our family farm. Three generations later, Dr. Brumback's grandchildren were running a prosperous orchard, and in 1965 the farm became Woodbine Farms, Inc. In 1998, the Commonwealth of Virginia designated Woodbine as a "Century Farm," officially recognizing that the farm has been continuously and actively farmed by the same family for 100 years. We've inherited our forebears' spirit of hard work, and so the Brumback legacy lives on.
We opened the farm market in 2006 to bring our best and freshest products directly to neighbors and friends. Today, we are operated by a team of siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who take pride in what we do. We've farmed this land for five generations, and we will continue to build community, enrich lives, and prosper together at Woodbine Farms, Inc.
