Ever wonder how chocolate makers turn cacao beans into delicious chocolate? This extraordinary hands-on workshop, led by two of the country’s top bean-to-bar chocolate makers, is a crash-course in the process. You’ll participate in every step, including sorting and roasting cacao, then winnowing, grinding, refining, conching and tempering. We’ll also discuss sourcing cacao and some of the ethical concerns around chocolate making. Along the way, you’ll be sampling raw cacao, nibs and finished chocolate.
The 4-hour workshop — held at 5Mile Chocolate’s kitchen in Oak Cliff - is limited to 20 participants.
