Guided Hike
There is both a guided hike or you can choose to do this same hike as self-guided; the trail will be marked. The three-mile hike will start at the Firetower Cabin with a nice warm fire and hot drinks provided by the Friends of Yellow River State Forest. The hike will venture by the only state-owned saw mill, and go up the Firetower Road, and then to Cedar Point Overlook Road. We will circle around to the iconic, one-of-a-kind Firetower for pictures and a short break. We will finish up on Brown's Hollow Trail, to the Forester's Trail, and back at the cabin, to warm back up at a cozy fire. The trail is mostly grass and dirt, with some steep sections.
