8-9am: Bird Walk at Mingo Point at Mingo Point

Mingo Point is a unique spot situated between gorgeous views of the salt marsh along the Kiawah River and the maritime forest of Kiawah Island. Join a naturalist on this 1-hour birding tour to get a taste of the great birds Kiawah Island has to offer all in one place, from flocks of singing red-wing blackbirds to wood storks and egrets wading in the pluff mud along the edge of the marsh.

9:30-10am: Private Bike Lesson at Night Heron Park

Learn to ride a bike! One of our recreation staff members will teach you to ride a bike on your own. Bicycle and helmet provided.

$30, recommended for ages 5+. Reservations required, please call 843.768.6001. Subject to availability.

11am-12pm: Archery Lesson at Night Heron Park

Join us on the archery range to put your skills to the test. Enjoy a staff instructed lesson with various stationary targets and interactive games. Great for beginners and first-timers.

$45/person, open to ages 8 and up. Participants must be able to confidently pull a 15 lb bowstring. Reservations required, please call 843.768.6001. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies. Subject to availability.

11am-12pm: Paint Swap Contest at Night Heron Park Stage

Ready to brush up on your skills? In this fun and interactive event, participants will begin with a blank canvas, then exchange their art every few minutes with another artist in the circle. This back and forth fun is the perfect opportunity to explore new techniques and will continue until all final flair is added. We will take time to admire the final products and appreciate everyone's stroke of brilliance!

12:45-1:30pm: Play-Doh Contest at Night Heron Park Stage

The perfect contest for all ages to spark some playful competition! This creative challenge will have participants sculpting unique designs to our suited themes. Showcase your creativity and skill in a fun, hands-on way.

This event is complimentary, no reservations are required. Please note that each participant will only receive one color of Play-Doh.

1-2pm: Snow Cone Party at Night Heron Pool Deck

Come enjoy a red, white, and blue snow cone or cool off with one of our other flavors!
Snow cones are available for purchase. Reusable cups will be available for purchase to receive a reduced rate on snow cones later in the week. No reservation is required.

1:30-2:30pm: Art Animals at Night Heron Park

Art Animals combines the excitement of a reptile show with a creative pottery session. You will first learn fascinating facts about the animals and get a chance to get an up-close experience. Following this, you will paint a ceramic animal to recreate the lifelike reptile you have just learned about, using the live animal as your guide. This unique experience blends hands-on animal interaction with artistic expression.

2:30-3:30pm: Pool Party at Night Heron Pool

Float into an afternoon full of USA celebrations with music, games, and FUN! Join us on the Night Heron Pool Deck to join the party.
Admission is complimentary, no reservations required. Please note that Kiawah Island Golf Resort Pool usage is exclusive to resort guests and Governor's Club members.

2:30-3:30pm: Chipping Contest at Night Heron Park

Join us for a fun-filled and exciting Birdie Ball chipping competition designed for anyone. This friendly event is all about having fun, improving your chipping skills, and enjoying the game of golf. Prizes will be awarded for top scorers at the end.
This event is complimentary, no reservations are required.

4-5pm: Free Throw and Knockout Contest at Night Heron Basketball Court

Test your precision and nerve in our Free Throw Contest. Step up to the line and showcase your shooting skills as you battle against other competitors. With each perfect shot, inch closer to claiming the title of our Free Throw Champion. Prizes await the sharpest shooters, so bring your A-game and aim for victory!

4-5pm: Shell Painting at Turtles' Nest Art Studio

Unleash your creativity and paint your very own beautiful scallop shells using acrylic paint or paint pens! In this fun and relaxing workshop, you'll receive 3 shells to paint however you like.

$15 for 3 shells. All ages welcome, no reservation required.

5:30-6:30pm: Glass Fusing 101 at Turtles' Nest Art Studio

Ready to create your own glass art? Join us where you'll learn how to layer and design colorful glass pieces to make your own unique masterpiece. Choose from a wide variety of color options and explore the art of fusing glass to create your own custom designs. Each participant will receive a 4×4 tile to work on, with upgrade options available for larger pieces. Pre-cut glass pieces are available for children, making this a fun and accessible craft for the whole family!

3v3 Basketball Tournament at Night Heron Basketball Court

Time: 5:30pm Youth and 6:30pm Adult

Join us at the Night Heron Park Basketball Court for a 3v3 Basketball Tournament! Come alone or with a team to play the island's best basketball. We'll get the crowd; you call the fouls! Youth games begin at 5:40pm. Adult games begin at 6:40pm. Prizes awarded to the winning team in each category.

Youth tournament is open to ages 12 and under. Those 13 and over will be required to play in the adult tournament. Admission is complimentary, no reservations required. Please arrive ten minutes early to register your team.
