8:00 am-9:00 am : Birding Kingsport Bird Walk

Birding Kingsport Bird Walk will host a one-hour, easy, guided walk looking for birds, including permanent residents and summer visiting species. Open to all levels of interest.

10:00 am-2:00 pm : Touch-A-Truck

Downtown Street Fair presents: Touch-A-Truck!
Join us Downtown for the Touch-A-Truck event, free and open to all. Come see, sit in and honk the horn of emergency vehicles, maintenance vehicles, trash trucks, dump trucks and more!

10:00 am-5:00 pm : Kingsport Carousel’s 10th Birthday Party

Come celebrate the 10th Birthday of the Kingsport Carousel! The birthday party will be from 10 AM until 5 PM, complete with FREE RIDES ALL DAY.
A special birthday celebration will take place from 3-5 PM with balloon animals, photo booth, games, crafts and more.

10:00 am-2:00 pm : Downtown Street Fair

Experience a festival like never before! There is something for everyone of all ages. Enjoy street performers, aerial trapeze, artists, musicians, international exhibits, and a variety of food trucks. You can also marvel at the amazing Chalk Walk art as competitors whisk away on the streets of Downtown Kingsport, enjoy the many heavy duty construction and emergency vehicles at Touch-A-Truck and much more! This event is free and open to the public.

8:00 am-10:00 am : Fun Fest Fishing Derby

The Fun Fest Fishing Derby returns to Duck Island at Warriors Path State Park. This fishing event is for children between ages 4 and 16. Per the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, anyone over the age of 12 must have a valid fishing license. Children under 10 must have adult supervision.
Free registration at the Fun Fest Store or on-site the day of the event.

12:00 pm-12:30 pm : Hot Dog Hut’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 

Hot Dog Hut is hosting a Hot Dog Eating Competition at Fun Fest’s Downtown Street Fair on Saturday, July 19 at 12 PM. The contest will take place at 155 Broad Street in downtown Kingsport. Contestants will be given a platter of 4 hot dogs to see who can eat them the fastest. The winner will receive 2 general admission tickets to the Fun Fest concert of their choice, a custom “Bad Day to be a Hot Dog” and a trophy. There is very limited space so sign up today! Registration costs $10. Must be 18 or older

12:00 pm-5:00 pm : Bays Mountain Gem & Mineral Show

Come see gem and mineral displays. There will be demos of faceting, wire wrapping, cabbing, and geode cracking. There will also be mineral sales, special activities for kids, and a fluorescent mineral display.

7:00 pm-11:00 pm : Fun Fest Night at the Ballpark
Come out and cheer for the Kingsport Axmen! The game begins at 7 PM at Hunter Wright Stadium. Tickets are required and are discounted to $5 if purchased at the Fun Fest Store.

7:58 pm-9:00 pm : Almost Crazy 3K Run/ Walk

Guess what? We are going almost crazy!  We will be timing the 3K again this year and you can choose to run or walk. The course will be certified for those who want to go for state and personal records. All 3K participants will receive a Crazy 8s shirt.  Everyone will receive a finish time and you will finish in the J. Fred Johnson Football Stadium just prior to the start of the Crazy 8s 8K Run.  And………. if you decide to do both the Almost Crazy 3K Run/Walk, and the Crazy 8s 8K Run, you will receive a special Totally Crazy medal! New this year! If your kids want more than just a Little 8s race, there’s a new combo registration for Little 8s and the 3K.

8:58 pm-10:00 pm : Niswonger Children’s Network Crazy 8’s 8K Run

Run the World’s Fastest 8K on the flatter and faster 8K course introduced in 2019. The course featured the 2024 Men’s and Women’s USATF National Championship.  Run the world famous figure-8 course on beautiful candle-lit streets with a rousing finish inside J. Fred Johnson Stadium. Crazy 8s is home to women’s 8-kilometer world record (Asmae Leghzaoui, 24:27.8, 2002), and held the men’s world record (Peter Githuka, 22:02.2, 1996), until it was broken in 2014, and again in 2018. The race begins at 8:58 PM
