Schedule of Events:

9:00am - 12:00pm: Stitch a Flag: Landscape Embroidery with Emma Murray at Combs Studio

Learn the meditative art of landscape embroidery and begin stitching a gorgeous wool-felt wall hanging! We'll start with the basics of embroidery, from choosing colors to threading needles and tying knots, then move into how to depict light and topography with thread. Students can bring images of landscapes that are special to them, or use one of the local reference photos the instructor will provide. Beginners welcome.

9:00am - 12:00pm: Needle Felted Landscapes with Audra Christie at SAFA Schoolhouse Tent

Recreate your favorite landscape in wool! Perfect for beginners and experienced felters, finished pieces mount beautifully in a 7" hoop.

9:00am  3:00pm: Adjustable Handled Tote Basket with Martha Chessie at Prospect Harbor Methodist Church

Using a solid oblong base, let's weave this colorful tote, perfect for a picnic or farmers' market.

10:00am - 12:00pm: Intermediate Songwriting with Chelsea Berry at Hammond Hall

This class is suitable for anyone who has some experience in writing songs and wants to work more deeply on their craft. We will explore rhyme schemes, hooks, melody writing, creative chord progressions, and more. 

1:00pm - 4:00pm: Connecting to Place Through Nature Journaling with Emma Murray at Combs Studio

Learn to create journal pages that capture a moment in place! Explore techniques like "zoomed-out" and "zoomed-in" views, using materials like watercolors, colored pencils, and pens. Weather permitting, we'll work outdoors, enjoying the process and connecting with the landscape.

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Nuno Felted Scarf with Audra Christie at SAFA Schoolhouse Tent

Learn the basics of nuno felting to create a lightweight, textured scarf. Perfect for beginners and experienced felters. Some upper body strength required. Wear comfortable shoes.
