The 5th Annual VyStar Emerald Trail 5K and 10K presented by JTC Running and 1st Place Sports will take runners and walkers along the newly opened LaVilla Link and the S-Line Rail Trail of the Emerald Trail. All proceeds from this event benefit Groundwork Jacksonville, the City's nonprofit partner in building the Emerald Trail and restoring McCoys Creek and Hogans Creek.
When complete the Emerald Trail will be a 34-mile urban trail and linear park system that will connect 14 historic neighborhoods to downtown, the St. Johns River, McCoys Creek and Hogans Creek. It will link 16 schools, two colleges, three hospitals, 21 parks and the Regional Transportation Center to destinations like cafes, shops, festivals, and events.
As Jacksonville's signature recreational amenity, the Emerald Trail will be the place where people of all ages, races, cultures and walks of life come together to run, walk, ride and connect with nature and with one another. Learn more at groundworkjacksonville.org or follow @GroundworkJax.

Start and Finish
The 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run will start together at 8 AM on West Church Street. The 5K will run with the 10K until the corner of Blanche and Union. The 5K will then head back to finish on West Church St. The 10K will continue on the S-line and turn around at Boulevard Street. The 10K will follow the same course as 5K to the finish.
The one mile will start at 8:30 AM at the corner of Lee and Church and will finish at the start/finish inflatable. on Church Street.
