Schedule of Events

2pm: The Wind Is Us: The Death that Killed Capote - Starring Eddie Schumacher

The Wind Is Us: The Death that Killed Capote by Mike Broemmel follows the life of author Truman Capote from his days researching his iconic "non-fiction novel" In Cold Blood until his death in 1984. Pathos and comedy combine to reveal how and why Capote's life collapsed, resulting in his premature death. The play stars Eddie Schumacher as Truman Capote.

The play focuses on the tension between what proved to be a contradictory, and ultimately deadly, conflict between Truman Capote's desire for love and his passion for fame. The play is drawn from first-person accounts of Capote's time in Kansas researching the murders of a farm family at the heart of his masterpiece In Cold Blood.

7pm: Forgive me Grandma, For I Have Sinned Starring Stephanie Wilson

When Stephanie's perfectly curated life crumbles, she decides to sell her belongings, board a ship, and embark on a journey around the world. Is she making a huge mistake?

Emotionally raw and positively clever, Wilson's scripted drama delves into the moments that shape us, the bold choices we make when everything unravels, and the complexities behind forging a new path.

Written and performed by Stephanie Wilson and directed by David Meneses, this production marks its world debut. Prepare for a multifaceted storytelling experience that blends poignant introspection with a touch of wit and wonder, offering a unique perspective on the journey of starting anew.
