Join us For Our Spectacular 52nd Season

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is one of the most respected and renowned chamber music festivals in the world, and part of its allure, for audiences and musicians alike, is that it draws inspiration from its namesake hometown, which is famously and affectionately known as the City Different.

Schedule of Events

5:00 pm - 6:10 pm - Solo Bach at New Mexico Museum of Art

The astonishing expressive potential of a single instrument is showcased on this program of solo Bach works, which are performed by three extraordinary artists-Mark Kosower, Yura Lee, and Ran Dank-who celebrate the rich, multi-layered sound that could only have been created by the unparalleled master of counterpoint. The thoughtfully curated program takes listeners on a musical journey that begins with the first of Bach’s six stunning solo cello suites, moves to the third work in the famous set of six sonatas and partitas for solo violin, and concludes with the fourth of six keyboard suites that make up Bach’s formative Clavier-Übung (Keyboard Practice) I.

BACH Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007

BACH Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1005

BACH Keyboard Partita No. 4 in D Major, BWV 828

Approximate length: 1 hour and 10 minutes
