Soul Sanctuary Dance - Freestyle Community Dance Gathering - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Since 2003, Berkeley's weekly midday all-ages community freestyle dance at Ashkenaz and online. We dance to an eclectic mix of world music, funk, positive hip hop, dance classics, reggae, electronic, Latin, jazz, swing, folk, rock, alternative, classical and more. Soul Sanctuary Dance is a welcoming & inclusive event that supports free expression, community, physical and emotional health, and a spirit of generosity. Lots of free street parking.

The Art of Being Present: Introduction to Breema - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Experience a new level of aliveness and comfort in the nurturing, down-to-earth atmosphere of Breema. We learn by direct experience of doing Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises, and practicing the Nine Principles of Harmony. As body, mind, and feelings begin to function in harmony, the ways you think, feel, and move are revitalized.

Dance-a-Rama - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Please join us for the 25th annual Dance-a-Rama, an afternoon of dance performance by 10 of the Bay Area's finest choreographers! The show starts at 2 PM at Western Sky Studio in the vibrant Eighth Street Artists Complex in West Berkeley, and is followed by a reception in the lobby where audience and dancers can mingle and chat.

Kathy Mata Ballet Spring Performance - 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Kathy Mata Ballet is celebrating Bay Area Dance Week 2024 and will present classical and contemporary ballet pieces, performed with live accompaniment. Company members and guests will be performing many different dance styles, including musical theater, modern, lyrical, contemporary, character and much more. Come and enjoy what promises to be a fun afternoon of dance.
Kathy Mata Ballet believes that dance is for everyone and provides community service work with performances.
