Schedule of Events:

9:00am - 2:00pm: Puppetry in Performance with Mark Lerman at Hammond Hall

The heart of puppetry is bringing an inanimate object to "life".  We will use found objects to discover how to bring the object/puppet to life through breath, movement, gaze and non-verbal storytelling.  No previous experience necessary.

9:00am  12:00pm: Contemporary, Expressive Drawing with Charcoal with Kat Logan at Combs Studio

This workshop is designed for those who have the desire to explore the emotion, expression and abstraction of drawing in charcoal. All levels of experience are welcome to learn techniques in contemporary drawing, including materials that can be used with charcoal for different effects and prompts that will invite the participant to loosen up and explore the direct response of this expressive medium. We will also review design principals that help abstracted work have success.

9:00am - 12:00pm: Wet Felted Vessels with Maureen Andrew at SAFA Schoolhouse

Create a colorfully eye catching vessel using the wet felting method.  It gets a little damp and squishy, but that's half the fun.

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Learn to Draw Your Self Portrait with Kat Logan at Combs Studio

Join us for this exciting workshop that will transform the way you see your face and help you create a stunning self-portrait! This inclusive workshop is perfect for all skill levels, especially beginners, and focuses on teaching you to recognize the unique shapes and values of your face.

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Needle Felted Sea Life Panel with Maureen Andrew at SAFA Schoolhouse

Dive into an exciting "under the sea" adventure! Use colorful wool and the needle felting method to create vibrant sea life that pops against the sea floor or water column, bringing your ocean scene to life in stunning detail.
