Schedule of Events:

9:00am - 4:00pm: Jumping into Wax! - Intermediate Encaustic Painting with Edith Beatty at Combs Studio

Ready to go to the next level with encaustic painting? This 2-day workshop builds upon the introductory class, and allows students to go deeper, work larger, and develop new techniques. Individual studio time will balance demos, consultation, and critique. Learn more about using color, pigment sticks, working from intention, and more. Prerequisite is Wading into Wax, or conversation with instructor about previous experience.

9:00am - 12:00pm: I Can See Clearly Now with Wendilee Heath O'Brien at whopaints Studio

We will practice techniques to accurately observe objects which is the first step when drawing and sketching. These techniques once practiced allow us to create without being dependent on a model.  

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Woodturning I with Mike Summerer - FULL at Summerer Studio

Introduction to the modern wood lathe. Basic techniques covered and participants will leave with a useful wood turned item.

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Beginner Irish Soft Shoe Dance with Angela Szucs at Hammond Hall

Introduction to basic reel steps. Students will leave with a routine using the learned steps.
