Schedule of Events:
9:00am - 12:00pm: The Joy of Carving Tiny Stamps with Norma Vela at SAFA Schoolhouse
Carving Tiny Stamps will introduce basic stamp-carving techniques to create stamps that can be printed as repeat patterns or multi-colored layers for greeting cards, gift wrap, and more.
9:00am - 3:00pm: Making Cinematic Photographs with Derek Hayes at Hammond Hall
The goal of this intermediate class is to help participants build their visual language in photography (specifically portraiture) through discussion and shooting time. Participants will be able to take photographs, connect with creatives, and refine their craft of image making.
10:00am - 5:00pm: Create Imaginative Mermaids and More in Clay with Randy Fein at Combs Studio
Dive into the world of clay. Create a clay wall sculpture of your own mythical mermaid figure or other aquatic creatures. Let your imagination swim freely to express your fascination of the sea in clay .This class will include instruction in basic clay hand building techniques guiding each participate to achieve their personal vision. Total beginners are welcome.
1:00?pm - 4:00pm: Shibori Encore with Diana Quinn at SAFA Schoolhouse Tent
Discover Shibori, the ancient Japanese tie-dyeing art! Fold, bind, bunch, and stitch your own natural fiber garments to create stunning patterns. Dye textiles: quilts, pillow covers, or sheets-let your creativity run wild with this beautiful, time-honored craft! Wear OLD Clothes/shoes.
6:00pm - 7:30pm: Chelsea Berry - Performance at Hammond Hall
Chelsea Berry is a powerhouse vocalist and performer based out of New England. Dubbed "the Pink of folk music" by acclaimed singer songwriter Susan Werner, Chelsea's shows are driven by her dynamic stage presence, heartfelt lyrics and stories, and masterful writing.
